FISHING AREAS
The fishing area Sandsele FVO has everyting You can ask for. You can fish close to 20 km of the river Vindelälv, with everything from wide, slow water for pike, perch and grayling or fast water areas with salmon, trout, grayling and pike adapted to fast water. You can also fish in surrounding lakes for pike, perch and arctic char. Just communicate with the owner and he will help You with fishing in different kind of waters within the same fishing area and license.
Fishing season:
Fishing for pike, perch and grayling can be done all thru the summer. But if the spring flood is late and rich, the safest week to start fishing in this area is the 4th week in June. In July the river goes down in size after spring flood and melted snow from the mountains so its a good season for pike, perch and grayling. Dry fly fishing for trout and grayling is rewarding from late June to August.
The salmon is late in this part of the river and starts most often around August 15 (but salmon can be caught from last week in July) to September 15 (rules regarding dates can vary from year to year regarding salmon).
